Luke brings us a short, short, very short update this week. In return, I bring you an even shorter summary. Click on, my faithful Spartans.
Over 1.3M people have downloaded Cold Storage since its release less than two weeks ago. Well, I don't know for certain that many different people downloaded the map. Perhaps 650k people downloaded it, accidentally deleted it, and then downloaded it again? All I know is that it was downloaded 1.3M times.
Bungie also released some new wallpapers on Bungie.net, which you can find at this thread on the Bungie forums.
Luke unfortunately cannot add to the events that took place earlier this week. Of course I'm referring to Microsoft squashing the Bungie announcement.
Luke thinks that his and Sketch's mockumentary, E3 2008: Livin' The Dream, will be released at some point in the future, but not any time soon. Below is their one-sheet for the project.
Finally, Luke speaks briefly about the rumors and speculation regarding their upcoming project, but destroying his eloquently worded explanation in an attempt to summarize it would be doing him an injustice. His words, verbatim, are posted below:
Despite whatever eased into the ether regarding what we're working on at Bungie, speculative hunches and guesswork certainly don't tell the full tale. I'd go so far as to say these ramblings are barely even a Prologue, not even a Foreword to the storybook we're putting together. Rest assured, there are multiple machinations afoot at Bungie, one is so close you can feel its familiar warmth on your cheek while you sleep; another so far off and foreign that like a faint star in deep space, you can only look to the heavens as its light speeds ever closer. Lo, there is still another.
