This week's Bungie Update is very picture heavy and while I didn't include them all in this edition of Bungie Watch, I've definitely grabbed some of the cooler ones. Luke talks to Bungie designer Lars Bakken and artists Jason Sussman and Cameron Pinard about the new forge objects included with the upcoming Legendary Map Pack. Hit the jump to check out some highlights.
Avalanche is a forerunner level, so of course it has a forerunner theme. You'll get forerunner walls, corners, and a sniper perch, as well as Energy Blockers that can be used to block off doorways. They work like shield doors, but they're solid.
Blackout is a human map, so it uses existing Foundry pieces with slight changes. Like Avalanche, there is a door that you can use to block off any doorway.
Ghost Town is hard to build on, given the size and the layout, but it does include some ramps, bridges, and a scaffolding platform.
One of the biggest changes to forge is the addition of forge filters. These can be used to give your map a unique look and theoretically set it apart from the rest, but we all know that we're going to start seeing the same maps over and over again. Such is life!
The idea of forge filters actually came about as a way for people to take really cool screenshots. It was also a result of Bungie wanting to include another awesome forge addition, since last time we got foundry.

The Pen and Ink Filter
Finally, for those looking to get into the video game business, Bungie is still hiring. Luke posts a short interview with David Aldridge, who recently got hired on at Bungie as a Network Engineer.
