Are you watching for Bungie? I am. Here's the March 28th edition of Bungie Watch. Hit the jump.
The Heroic Map pack, originally released in December (if memory serves), is now available for free on Xbox Live Marketplace. And now that it's free, it's mandatory for certain playlists, so you should really go grab it if you haven't yet.
Apparently a lot of folks just aren't aware of these free new maps, which is a bad thing, so Luke asks that you kindly spread the word.
Team SWAT is happening for a bonus weekend. You can play it until 2 a.m. Monday morning (I'm guessing Pacific time; guessing!), so you better get playing.
MLG (Major League Gaming) style playing is a bit of a different experience than normal Halo, so you might want to check it out to see if it tickles your fancy. Luke bets that it just might. He also ensures us that this isn't the last that we'll be seeing of Team SWAT.
Bungie is going to completey overhaul Bungie Favorites pretty soon to be able to sort out the best of the best. In the meantime, you can do something to help.
If you belong to a large fan community, get together with your buddies and start picking out your best stuff. Then send Luke a message via Bungie.net with the subject line Bungie Favorites. Include the email of the person who will be the primary point of contact for the group, as well as a link to the group's presence.
After that phase, they'll send out emails detailing just how to submit your stuff for selection.
Finally, if you head on over to the actual update, you can check out an interactive map of Blackout that shows weapon layouts and other neat junk.
Have a good weekend!
