Former Metal Gear Solid Producer Helming Peter Jackson Halo Project?

Rumor has it that Ryan Patton, who just recently stepped away from Kojima Productions, has been tapped by Microsoft to be the creative director on the upcoming Peter Jackson Halo game.
Kotaku reports this "very reliable news" from their "very reliable sources," actually using the word "reliable" twice. The contacted Microsoft, only to be told that Microsoft doesn't comment on rumors or speculation.
It definitely sounds promising and Ryan Patton working on a Halo game is a prospect worth getting worked up for.
